You didn't talk about the streaming aspect of it...does it send the stream out itself, or does it send to the phone and you use your cellular data to then stream out? Which would mean you can't stream 4k, cell data can't handle that, nor can the phone's antenna...so can you downsize it to 720p for streaming and how well does it work?

11 years later, I just discovered the manual mode on my X100S.... just unbelievable that I did not know that before!

at 5:16 when I press the button in the middle of the AF / M control, what shows in my window does not change. I still see just the shutter speed / aperture/ ISO and exposures remaining. It seems that button is not working even tho the control is pointing to AF. Have I done something that's disabling that button and blocking my ability to access focus points and focus mode? When I focus it looks to be on 51 points and it's picking the spot it wants to be in focus. Ugh. Help!

I had the exact same idea about 18 months ago and tried sooooo many different cables with my Rode NTG3. I couldn't ultimately get it to work. From memory, I think the wiring on Sennheiser shotgun mics was more friendly for this setup?

The Ulanzi U-190 Pro addressed your concerns regarding the leveling head and securing the allen wrench. It also allows for flipping the base to a portrait orientation.

Hi DQstudios , this np-f980 brand "PALO" , is it still good? how long usage? is it recommended? I plan to power up my 12V monitor 5inch external from the Type C port. i want to buy the Cable from type C to DC port. How many volts for type C cable should I buy? Pls advise... other case, if this NPF powered direct to Monitor, and in the same time usb C port to charge other accs like Hollyland mars X, is it safe?

So i can use one plate to power my monitor and camera ? A friend told me i could burn my monitor or camera with this setup.

This a great initiative by Accsoon (Goodbye Ninjas). I bought one for my Sigma FP - works well but they do need to improve the quality of files recorded to the iPhone and unfortunately for the Sigma - you can't record internally while the Accsoon is connected - this is possible when attached to other cameras. I am sure and hope they can fix this in firmware. A little difficult trying to connect to the Sony's.

thank you for sharing.. Valuable info in the video. I love the mic comparison. I have a question and a couple of remarks. Question: What's the battery life on the Xvive P1? Remark 1: I would recommend using a 3.5 locking connector on the cable to have that extra security on the cable Remark 2: to me it looks just a bit too bulky. since you are using such high end mics, why not use Zaxcom ZMT4? It can can transmit and record simultaneously in the USA. Now deity are offering such devices such as DXTX & DLTX

Great review. However the best thing about your video is the scripture at the end. Funny thing, I started watching the video because I've always been interested in a slider for my professional work but the first thing that hit me was the thought, "this man knows the Lord". I don't know what's going on with that phantom power unit....but it is wrecking the sound quality of the 8050. If my 8050 sounded that bad I would have sent it to be checked. Have you tried & compared the difference with the zoom recorder. I would recommend the UMP III by Ambient. its a built for adding 48/12v to mics and is sonically transparent. Great video mate. As it stands the 416 wipes the floor with the 8050, But I know thats not the case as I have both those mics and they are both awesome in their on way. I would seriously take a look at that phantom unit.

i use the rode lav mics that come with the rode wireless pro. any suggestion on what to get to upgrade the lav mic that maybe isnt as much as the dpa 6060? thanks!
